FUNDRAISING
Why do we fundraise? Here is a list of what we provide as a group for the kids in our entire so ccer program. Hooded sweatshirts for all, dinner at the banquet for all, team gift for all players, coaches' gifts, zipper hoods for Junior letter winners, and finally a gift for our graduating seniors. There are also mailing expenses, Senior day expenses, and concession stand expenses. And when we say ALL we mean ALL from grades 7 to 12. Gladly, we are the only booster club that works for both the junior and senior high. Clearly, this is alot of expense. So, we fundraise. Remember, without you, none of what we have been able to do for our soccer programs would be possible. The kids in the program belong to all of us and we have formed this group with the purpose of providing for them those things deemed necessary to help BOOST their soccer season, their soccer skill, their soccer achievement and their overall soccer happiness. Fundraising helps us to meet these needs while at the same time spread the burden of the bills onto ALL of our parental shoulders. We can't emphasize enough the importance for all parents to do their share for their child AND his/her teammates. WE NEED AND APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.
This year's 2010 fundraisers are
Happy Hour at Senunas' Bar was a success and details will be at the next booster club meeting.
- Our 2nd fundraiser will be a candy sale. Krya Macko is drafting a letter to offer parents to sell candy or take a buy out for $25.00. Letter will be sent out Sept 2nd and to be returned Sept 10th. Hershey Bars will be handed out Sept 14th and to be returned Sept 30th
- NO BANQUET DATE HAS BEEN SET FOR 2010.
- Banquet ADs for the banquet program. Our banquet program will feature ads solicited from area businesses interested in supporting our soccer program and who are looking for some inexpensive advertising as well. Also these ads can be personal congratulatory notes to your child or the team from friends or family. Information is being sent home via your child. Please look for this information. This year's program will be 8 x 10 in size. Ads are due October 25th but can be returned anytime to an officer or the junior high concession stand between now and then.
- Concession stands and 50/50 sales at games. Volunteers are needed to man these concession areas. Sign up sheets will be at the stands. There are ONLY 8 home games for each team. Please, work the stands.
Although our efforts are voluntary, we do expect and appreciate everyone's participation. Our fundraising efforts are not meant in any way to be a financial burden on anyone. If anything the whole effort is being done to lift that burden. But, if it is difficult for you to participate feel free to discuss things with an officer.
